Accident Report
June 19, 2026, a woman sustained injuries following a car accident that happened at 10:40 p.m. on Washington Avenue.
According to officials, the crash took place at the intersection of Washington Avenue and North 18th Street.
Investigators said that a 47-year-old woman was a passenger in a Honda Accord going southbound through the intersection. A Chevy Silverado was going westbound when it reportedly ran the light, and the vehicles crashed.
Due to the accident, the woman from the Honda was injured. No other injuries were reported. Authorities recommended charging the Chevy driver.
How Did This Accident Occur?
If it’s true that a driver ran a light, then common reasons for that are general attention, cellphone use, trying to beat a traffic signal, or drunk driving. Folks might rule out drunk driving since authorities haven’t already brought it up—they usually do so right away. Sometimes, though, an investigation might take longer. For example, I’ve had hundreds of drunk driving accident investigations trace back to a negligent bar. If an alcohol provider over-serves someone who then causes an accident, a preliminary report might not be enough to tell the whole story. That’s just one hypothetical example, of course.
