Man Killed in Car Accident on Walnut Street in Coleman, TX

Coleman County, TX — December 24, 2025, a man was killed as the result of a car accident at around 11:47 p.m. along Walnut Street.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened at Walnut Street/Highway 153 and High Road.

According to officials, a 31-year-old man was on a motorcycle going westbound along the highway. A Nissan Versa was going eastbound on Walnut Street. The vehicles crossed paths and collided. Due to the collision, the motorcyclist was seriously injured.

My hope with any motorcycle accident is simply that it gets the attention it deserves. A lot of folks have an automatic negative bias against riders. Even authorities can let this sort of bias affect their investigations if they’re not careful. That’s why investigations should focus on gathering as much evidence as possible. Even possible factors which seem unlikely are worth attention to ensure there is as little room for speculation as possible. If authorities did that here, good. However, it would be far from the first if those affected by this crash felt the victim wasn’t getting a fair shake.
