Van Zandt, County — September 26, 2024, One person was injured following a car accident that happened around 12:25 P.M. on US 80.
An investigation is underway following a car accident that happened during the afternoon hours on September 26. According to official reports, an Acura with a minor driver was travelling west on US 80 near County Road 1818 when a Dodge Charger failed to control their speed and struck the Acura from the rear which resulted in severe damage to both vehicles.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that the minor driver had sustained serious injuries, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. At this time, there has been no other information released, including the status of the minor’s injuries, as well as if any charges or citation will be filed.
