July 12, 2026, a man was injured following a car accident that took place at around 7:16 p.m. along US Highway 83.
Authorities said that the crash happened in the area of the US 83 and Sierra Vista Boulevard intersection.
According to officials, a 32-year-old man was on a motorcycle going northbound. A Toyota Tacoma was going southbound when authorities say it disobeyed traffic control and crashed with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist reportedly sustained serious injuries in the crash. Authorities allege that the Tacoma driver tested at more than three times the legal limit for drunk driving. They recommended charges.

How Did This Accident Occur?
While authorities did not specifically blame this crash on alcohol in their reports, it’s very rare that a crash involves a driver at three times the legal limit without alcohol causing the crash. Maybe this is that rare exception where alcohol was purely a coincidence. More likely, though, is that drunk driving led to this crash.
