How Did This Accident Occur?

I have no doubt some folks are going to see a single-vehicle car accident with a teen driver and just assume the young driver was being reckless. That certainly happens, and it’s not my place to speculate on if it did or didn’t happen here without any clear evidence. However, I always caution against jumping to conclusions just because something might seem likely or obvious.

I’ve handled countless serious car accidents over the course of more than 30 years. I have seen just about every kind of situation one could imagine lead to a serious accident. Drivers can’t always avoid an accident, and that’s why it’s crucial to put bias aside and let the evidence speak for itself. The question is if authorities are doing that here or if they’re letting bias affect their investigations. I’ve had cases where they jumped to conclusions, and it’s only natural a family seeing that would want a second opinion. It wouldn’t be that unusual if something similar happened here.

In other words, people shouldn’t rush to any conclusions here just because the driver is young. If you disagree with that, you’re welcome to share your thoughts in the comments.
