Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Sometimes, people think car accidents are simple when they involve just one vehicle. That’s not really how things work. Since single-vehicle wrecks aren’t always treated as a high priority, authorities can actually overlook all kinds of possible factors if they’re not too obvious. There may have been mechanical issues. The road may have had design flaws or obstructions. The driver may have been unlawfully over-served by a bar. There could have been another driver involved who left the scene. Likely or not, these things happen, and it’s important steps are taken to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks.
