Taylor County, TX — March 19, 2025, one person was injured due to a car versus pedestrian accident at around 4:21 a.m. along Interstate 20.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened along the side of the westbound lanes of the interstate.
Investigators said that a 36-year-old woman was on foot near a disabled semi-truck along I-20. While there, a passing Toyota Corolla reportedly disregarded emergency vehicles and struck the woman. As a result, that woman was seriously injured.

There’s not a lot of information available right now, but the suggestion that a vehicle managed to ignore emergency vehicles and hit someone raises some serious red flags. Did authorities test for drugs and alcohol? Did they pull the driver’s cell phone records? Did any dash cameras capture the incident on video? Were there unusual circumstances the driver couldn’t avoid? It’s not enough to just point the finger at someone and call it a day. There needs to be a clear explanation for what went wrong so the victim involved has as much information as possible going forward.
