Swisher County, TX — July 10, 2024, two people were injured as the result of a car accident at around 8:30 p.m. along County Road 13.
Authorities said in preliminary details that the accident happened in the area of County Road 13 and County Road K, north of Tulia.

Investigators said that a 25-year-old and a 29-year-old were in a Ford F-250 going westbound on County Road 13 when it somehow ran off-road and crashed at County Road K. As a result, the 29-year-old passenger had serious injuries. The driver apparently wasn’t hurt.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Right now, details can’t be confirmed, but some factors stand out to me. Looking at the most recent images of this roadway I could find, it doesn’t appear that County Road 13 runs east to west but rather north to south. I know if may seem like a nitpick; obviously, authorities just made a simple mistake. Sometimes, though, those “simple” mistakes are actually a sign the investigations weren’t taken seriously.
I can’t count how many times in my career families have come to me because a seemingly minor mistake caused huge problems for them later on. It’s important, then, to set the record straight as soon as possible. If it’s just an error in the reporting, then no harm no foul. But if it’s a sign of bigger problems, they need to be addressed before it’s too late.
