1 Killed in Car Accident on Pyramid Way in Reno, NV

Reno, NV — January 27, 2025, One person was killed following a car accident that occurred at around 5:03 A.M. on Pyramid Way.

An investigation is underway following a car accident that left one person dead during the morning hours of January 27th. According to official reports, a truck ran a redlight at the intersection of Pyramid Way and N. McCarran and struck a Jeep, causing it to overturn.

When first responders arrived on the scene they found that the driver of the Jeep had sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries. Given the severity of the crash, it’s crucial that all available evidence is carefully analyzed to establish why the truck entered the intersection against the light.

The second question—one that is often overlooked—is whether a vehicle defect or mechanical failure contributed to the crash.
