Lamar County, TX — November 4, 2023, four people were injured following a car accident that happened around 7:46 p.m. along North Main Street.
Initial details about the crash reported by authorities say that the collision happened at the intersection of North Main Street/Business Highway 271 and County Road 42000.

Officials said that a 41-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman, an 11-year-old girl, and a 14-year-old boy were in a Hyundai Sonata said to be going northbound on Main Street. At the intersection ahead, it’s said that a westbound Chevy Equinox pulled onto northbound lanes, and the vehicles collided.
It appears that the woman and the girl in the Hyundai had serious injuries while the 14-year-old’s injuries were said to be apparently minor. The driver of the Chevy had reportedly moderate injuries. Authorities allege that the Chevy driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time, and reports indicated there was an arrest for intoxication assault.
