Accident Report

March 20, 2026, two people were injured following a car accident that happened around 10:22 p.m. along North Masters Drive.

According to initial details about the accident, it took place in the area of North Masters Drive and Bruton Road.

Investigators said that a 38-year-old woman and three minors were in a Honda Accord going westbound along Bruton. Another vehicle was going southbound when it crashed with the Honda. The Honda driver then allegedly ran from the scene.

Due to the accident, a 16-year-old and an 11-year-old from the Honda were seriously injured. It’s unclear at this time if authorities ever identified or located the runaway driver.

How Did This Accident Occur?

It might not surprise anyone to hear that most of the time when I’ve looked into hit-and-run accidents, it turned out that the driver who fled the scene did something wrong. That’s not always true—maybe they just ran because of warrants or something unrelated to the crash. A lot of the time though, this late at night, authorities will find that alcohol was what led the driver to run.

Finding out for sure, of course, usually requires finding the driver. Have authorities been able to do that since their preliminary statements? Or are they still looking? It might help if they released more information to the public, as that allows members of the community to help if they know something authorities don’t. Hopefully there will be some accountability here if not already.

Let me know in the comments if there’s important information I’m missing about the accident.
