Lubbock, TX — January 11, 2024, three people, including a child, were injured after a single-vehicle car accident at around 8:30 a.m. on Loop 289.
Through preliminary investigations, authorities say that the crash took place on southbound lanes of East Loop 289.

It appears that a 20-year-old woman, a 21-year-old man, and a 2-year-old child were in a Jeep Cherokee going along the freeway. The vehicle somehow lost control, causing it to veer off the right side of the highway. There, the vehicle overturned across the access road.
Due to the accident, the 21-year-old man had serious injuries. The woman and the child in the Jeep had apparently moderate injuries. Right now, an exact cause for the crash can’t be confirmed. No further information is available pending investigations.
