Accident Report

June 12, 2026, a man was injured following a car accident that took place around 9:28 p.m. along Loop 1604.

Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened in the area of Autumn Run Lane, south of Lower Seguin Road.

Authorities said that a 26-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson southbound along Loop 1604. A Dodge pickup was going southbound, as well, when it reportedly failed to yield. The vehicles collided as a result.

Due to the crash, the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Authorities saying a driver failed to yield and caused this crash isn’t that surprising to me. Something I see a lot is drivers who fail to keep a proper lookout for motorcyclists and cause serious accidents like this. A lot of people, though, are more likely to immediately assume the rider was being reckless. That’s a common bias, and it can take extensive evidence to overcome that bias. So, even if it’s true that a driver failed to yield here, it’s important to know why it happened and how it could have been avoided.
