Longview, TX — May 5, 2025, one person was killed and one was possibly injured due to a car accident at around 6:30 p.m. along West Loop 281.
According to initial details released about the accident, it took place near the West Loop 281 and Bill Owens Parkway intersection.
Investigators said that a trike and a pickup truck somehow crossed paths along the highway. As a result, the two vehicles collided. One person who was on the trike sustained injuries that ultimately proved fatal. Another person had unspecified injuries.
Right now, no further information is available as investigations continue.

Any serious accident is going to need close attention from investigators, but it’s important to especially consider such steps with an accident like this. A trike accident isn’t exactly common, and this sometimes leads authorities to see an accident as a low priority. For the victim’s loved ones, there is no higher priority than getting answers. If authorities don’t take the time to consider these events from all angles, they may leave that family in a position where they’ll need a second set of eyes looking things over to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks.
