Accident Report
April 3, 2026, a woman was injured as the result of a car accident that happened around 11:44 p.m. along Loma Linda Circle.
According to officials, the crash happened just off Loma Linda Circle and Loma De Paz Drive, a residential area along the east side of MLK in north El Paso.
Investigators said that a 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were in an Acura going westbound. The vehicle somehow crashed with two parked vehicles. As a result, the woman riding in the car was seriously injured. No other injuries were reported.
Additional details about the accident remain unconfirmed.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A car crashing this late at night is going to raise familiar red flags. Most commonly, distracted driving and alcohol are likely to cause crashes like this. However, the problem is when investigations only consider these common possible factors. If there are unusual possibilities involved here, it might lead to important evidence slipping through the cracks.
For example, what if one of the parked vehicles was sticking way out from the curb and wasn’t clearly visible due to it being dark? That would certainly change a lot about how further investigations would proceed. This is why investigations should include a careful reconstruction of the scene, inspection of the damage to the vehicles and the debris patterns, and even canvassing of the nearby residences for possible cameras that may have seen the accident.
Again, it wouldn’t surprise me if something more common led to this crash. But across more than 30 years of looking into car accidents, I’ve seen all kinds of things lead to accidents that didn’t come up in the first or even second looks at the crash. So, it’s important folks just avoid jumping to conclusions and focus on getting the facts.
