Houston, TX — February 5, 2024, two people were injured in a car accident shortly after 4:30 p.m. along the Interstate Highway 45 service road.

According to authorities, a 47-year-old man was at a stop at a red light in a northbound Ford Transit van on the I.H. 45 service road at the Airline Drive intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a northbound Chevy Venture failed to adequately control its speed. It reportedly collided with the back end of the Ford Transit. The man from the Transit incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the sole occupant of the Chevy, a 76-year-old man, sustained apparently minor injuries. Both were transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
