Accident Report

April 4, 2026, a woman was injured as the result of a car accident that happened around 1:39 a.m. along Interstate 35.

Preliminary details about the accident say that it happened along the northbound I-35 service road at the Schertz Parkway intersection.

Investigators said that a 30-year-old woman was in a Land Rover going southeast through the intersection. A Ford F-350 was going northeast. The vehicles crossed paths and collided.

Due to the accident, the woman from the Land Rover was seriously injured. No other injuries were reported. Additional details are unavailable right now.

How Did This Accident Occur?

At a controlled intersection like this, the most common factor in a crash is distracted driving. Alcohol is also common at this time of the morning, considering a lot of people are unlawfully over-served by bars that put those drivers and those around them in danger. Maybe something like that happened here.

Or, maybe this is a situation where something more complex happened. Did authorities inspect the vehicles for defects? Were the lights not working properly? Was there some kind of emergency going on? In my experience, victims and families almost always have better outcomes when investigations consider all possibilities rather than just focusing in on the most likely explanation. The more evidence there is, the clearer the path between folks and whatever help may be available to them.
