Houston, TX — December 31, 2023, two people were injured in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly before 11:45 p.m. along Westheimer Road.
According to authorities, a man and a woman—both age 24—were traveling on a westbound Yamaha motorcycle in the center turn lane at the Locke Lee Road intersection when the accident occurred.
An eastbound Nissan Murano on Westheimer Road made a left turn toward northbound Locke Lee at a reportedly unsafe time, officials state, neglecting to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front end of the motorcycle and the passenger side of the Nissan.
The 24-year-old woman who had been on the motorcycle incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash. The man who had also been on the motorcycle sustained apparently minor injuries, as well. Both were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
