Houston, TX — March 4, 2024, a baby was killed while a man and woman were injured in a car accident at approximately 2:15 a.m. along Westheimer Road.

According to authorities, a 33-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman, and a 6-month-old girl were traveling in a northbound Volkswagen Jetta on Jeanetta Street approaching the Westheimer Road intersection when the accident occurred.

At the same time, a Jeep Cherokee was eastbound approaching the intersection on Westheimer. It is unknown which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the accident, but both vehicles reportedly entered the intersection at the same time, resulting in a collision.

All three occupants of the Jetta incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. The baby girl, however, was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of her injuries. She was declared deceased on March 9, 2024. No other injuries have been reported.
