Houston, TX — April 21, 2024, one person was killed following a car accident at approximately 1:50 a.m. along the Eastex Freeway, U.S. 59.
According to authorities, a Ford F-250 was traveling southbound on Eastex Freeway in the vicinity north of Tidwell Road when the accident took place.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the pickup truck collided with the rear-end of a Hyundai Azera occupied by a 25-year-old man before also crashing into a barrier wall.
The 25-year-old victim incurred reportedly critical injuries as a result of the wreck and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of his injuries, having been declared deceased at the medical facility on April 24, 2024.
