Houston, TX — February 18, 2024, two people were killed while three others were injured in a car accident shortly after 8:00 p.m. along Richmond Avenue.
According to authorities, a 19-year-old man was traveling in a Toyota Camry on Richmond Avenue between the Unity Drive and Greenridge Drive intersections when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that the Camry may have been traveling at high speeds leading up to the crash. It reportedly rear-ended the back of a Scion occupied by four people, two of which were children. A woman and a man who had been occupants of the Scion incurred reportedly fatal injures due to the wreck. The two children—ages 5 and 10—and the 19-year-old from the Camry sustained injuries of unknown severity. All three were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
