Houston, TX — January 1, 2024, three people were injured in a car accident at approximately 11:45 p.m. along the Eastex Freeway service road.
According to reports, five people were traveling in a southbound Honda Odyssey minivan along the Eastex Freeway service road in the vicinity north of Aldine Bender Road when the accident occurred.

The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the minivan was rear-ended by a Chrysler. Two women from the minivan—a 59-year-old and a 29-year-old—incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the accident. A 49-year-old man from the Chrysler also apparently sustained moderate injuries. All three were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment.
