Harris County, TX — February 13, 2024, one person was killed and two others were injured in a three-car accident at approximately 9:30 p.m. along Jones Road.
According to authorities, a man was traveling in a northbound vehicle on Jones Road in the vicinity north of Farm to Market 1960 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the vehicle may have been traveling at high speeds leading up to the crash. It reportedly failed to safely maintain its lane of travel, veering left of center and entering the southbound lanes of the road. This resulted in a collision with two separate oncoming vehicles. It then left the roadway, crashing into a ditch and overturning before coming to a stop.
The man allegedly incurred critical injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment; however, he was ultimately unable to overcome his injures, having later been declared deceased. Two people—a man and an infant—who had reportedly been occupants of one of the other vehicles possibly incurred injuries, as well. They were also transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and any necessary treatment.
