Harker Heights, TX — December 28, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident at approximately 1:10 a.m. along Indian Trail Drive.
According to reports, a 21-year-old woman was traveling in a northbound Dodge Caravan leaving a parking lot approaching Indian Trail Dr. in the vicinity west of Buffalo Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the vehicle allegedly veered right while on approach to the roadway, drove over the grassy corner, and collided with a metal railing. It then reportedly crossed over the sidewalk on the south side of the road, continued straight over both east and westbound lanes of Indian Trail Boulevard, and entered the sidewalk area on the north side of the road before colliding with a second metal railing and, ultimately, an electrical pole before coming to a stop.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; she was taken to a local medical facility for treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is ongoing.
