After any serious accident, it’s important investigators go beyond the surface to find out what led up to the crash. Even if something seems unlikely, it’s important investigate. For example, this happening in a construction zone can create unique hurdles. Was the area marked properly? Was it clearly visible? Were any construction vehicles moving in or out of the roadway? Was traffic diverted in an unnecessarily dangerous way? While investigations may simply rule out these possible factors, it wouldn’t be worth the risk of letting something important slip through the cracks.
