Harris County, TX — December 17, 2025, two people were injured following a car accident that happened at around 10:10 p.m. along Fry Road.

According to preliminary information, the accident happened at the intersection of Fry Road and Tealbrook Drive, just north of Freeman Road.

It appears that a 26-year-old woman was in a Toyota Camry going southbound on Fry Road. A Jeep Wagoneer was going the same direction, reportedly fleeing police at the time. While doing so, the Jeep crashed into the Camry.

As a result of the crash, the woman in the Toyota had serious injuries while the Jeep driver had reportedly moderate injuries. Authorities reported that the Jeep driver was over twice the legal limit for drunk driving at the time. They recommended multiple charges.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

With allegations this serious, there’s little doubt authorities will take steps to see the alleged drunk driver held accountable for their actions. What remains to be seen, though, is if there were any accomplices who need to face consequences, as well. After any drunk driving accident, it’s important to know if a negligent alcohol provider contributed to the crash.

Put simply, bars, restaurants, and other alcohol providers who over-serve someone that’s obviously intoxicated can be responsible if that intoxication leads to people getting hurt or killed. Not only does this area of the law help victims and families seek out accountability for the harm done to them, but it also gets negligent alcohol providers to clean up their act before their behavior leads to more harm.

It’s possible all of this here begins and ends with a single reckless driver. However, that’s up to the evidence to say for sure. If authorities didn’t look into where the driver got their alcohol from, they could be missing important details which still need to be addressed.
