Freestone County, TX — December 29, 2023, two people were injured in a car accident shortly after 6:45 p.m. along Farm to Market 27.
According to reports, a Chevy Colorado was traveling northwest on F.M. 27 behind a Dodge Dakota. Both vehicles were approaching the County Road 1259 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the Dodge turned on its left blinker and slowed to make a turn onto C.R. 1259 when, for reasons yet to be confirmed, it was rear-ended by the Chevy. A 33-year-old woman from the Chevy incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. The 4-year-old girl, who had also been in the Chevy, reportedly sustained possible minor injuries. Both victims were transported to local medical centers in order to receive appropriate treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
