An investigation is underway into a car accident that left two people injured during the evening hours of July 20th. According to official reports, a Honda Insight was traveling in the westbound lanes of East Fwy. near East loop 820, when a Lincoln MKX was, according to authorities, racing another vehicle when it switched into the lane occupied by the Honda and struck it on the passenger side.

The collision then caused the Honda to lose control and enter a ditch resulting in the vehicle flipping several times in the process, and also ejecting multiple passengers. When first responders arrived on the scene they found that two of the Honda passengers were seriously injured, and transported them to the hospital for treatment.
