Accident Report
April 28, 2026, a man was injured as the result of a car accident which happened around 9:05 p.m. on Farm-to-Market 429.
Authorities said that the crash took place about a mile northeast of Terrell. A 28-year-old man was reportedly in a Lincoln traveling southbound on FM 429. While doing so, it appears the vehicle lost control, and it crashed. The driver reportedly was seriously injured as a result.

How Did This Accident Occur?
Single-vehicle accidents often involve things like distracted driving or unsafe speeds. But just because something’s common doesn’t mean other factors are okay to overlook.
Road conditions, for example, is something I too often see authorities overlook. This can include the maintenance of the road, weather conditions, weather there are clear lines and reflectors, proper signage, and even the layout of the road (if it has dangerous curves, for example).
Likely or not, these things have caused wrecks before, and they will again. So, an investigation that fails to rule it out can’t really be considered a complete investigation. If authorities considered that and other possibilities here, that’s good. But folks are generally better off when they don’t take that for granted.
