How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities clearly believe that this all happened because a driver made an unsafe turn. Hopefully they have a lot of clear evidence to support that story. This is particularly important when the victims were on a motorcycle. A lot of folks are quick to assume motorcyclists are dangerous, and insurance companies try to use this to their advantage. Any gaps in the story could act as footholds for blame-shifting or muddying the waters. By treating the accident as complex and serious, investigators can help ensure they have as much evidence telling the story as possible. The more answers there are, the less room there is for bias to take hold.
Are there any motorcyclists out there who have seen these challenges firsthand? Tell me about it in the comments.
