2 Injured in Car Accident on East 38th Street in Dickinson, TX

Galveston County, TX — August 3, 2024, two people were injured following a car accident at around 11:50 p.m. along East 38th Street.

According to initial details about the accident, it happened near the intersection of East 38th Street and Colorado Avenue.

Investigators said that two unidentified people were in a GMC Sierra pickup traveling westbound along East 38th Street. After crossing over Colorado, the vehicle apparently crashed with a parked vehicle, then ran off-road and crashed outside some homes.

Due to the crash, the two people in the GMC sustained serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. Additional details are unavailable.

A serious car accident isn’t likely to be fully explained by a preliminary crash report. It can span a significant amount of ground, and if authorities get to caught up in clearing the scene, they might overlook important evidence. If authorities were able to dedicate the proper time and tools to preserve evidence early on, that would be good to hear. But if there’s more to this story, it unfortunately wouldn’t be too unusual.
