Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

With three vehicles involved in this crash, I have to wonder why only one person ended up injured—seriously, at that. Maybe there’s an ordinary explanation, but it’s sometimes a red flag that a vehicle might have a defect. If, for example, a seatbelt or airbag fails, someone might end up seriously hurt while everyone else ends up okay because their safety devices functioned properly. Frankly, that’s not the sort of thing authorities tend to have the experience or equipment to look into details like that. Maybe nothing unusual happened here, but it’s important to let the evidence speak for itself.
