Houston, TX — September 18, 2024, a 22-year-old woman and two other people were injured in a car accident on De Priest Street in Houston.

Investigators say the incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. on the 8400 block of De Priest Street at Marjorie Street. Preliminary investigation suggests a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling south on De Priest as a Ford F-150 pickup was eastbound on Marjorie. For reasons investigators couldn’t determine at the scene, the car and the pickup crashed in the intersection, after which the Chevy overturned on the roadside.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Investigators at the scene don’t quite seem to know what happened, which isn’t as uncommon as people might think. The scene of a crash can be pretty confusing, even for someone with training. Couple that with the participants often telling different versions of the story and it can be hard to figure out the real narrative. I just hope for the sake of the people involved, particularly the seriously-injured woman, that someone revisited this matter and found some real answers. If there’s more to things than one person or the other making a mistake, they deserve to know that.
