Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

One thing police mentioned is the possibility of alcohol contributing to the accident. Frankly, that’s a common reason people flee the scene. On top of that, this is a 2:00 a.m. crash in what appears to be a popular night life area in a college town. I’ve handled hundreds of cases involving alcohol providers over-serving people and contributing to serious accidents. This checks just about every box I could think of, and there’s more than enough reason for authorities to continue putting details out to the public until they can identify the driver who left the scene. Once that happens, they can determine why that driver left the scene and what avenues may be available to see they’re held appropriately accountable.
