It appears that a 41-year-old man was in a Ford Mustang going along east lanes of the tollway. The vehicle somehow lost control, and it crashed. The driver was seriously injured as a result.
There didn’t appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. Further information remains unconfirmed.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of people just assume that single-vehicle accidents always happen when a driver does something wrong. That’s obviously possible and worth considering, but investigations need to be thorough enough to cover other possibilities. That means everything from road conditions to tire failure to medical episodes to vehicle defects to issues with road maintenance. Likely or not, a proper investigation lets the evidence speak for itself. Either authorities will make sure that happens, or they may show that the crash needs to be in the hands of more thorough independent investigators.
