Bryan, TX — December 20, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident just after 6:00 in the evening along State Highway 6.
According to reports, a 35-year-old man was traveling in a southbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck along S.H. 6 in the just over a mile southeast of Old Spanish Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the pickup truck was reportedly traveling in the left lane of the highway attempting to pass a vehicle which was occupying the right-hand lane. For reasons yet to be confirmed, the pickup was reportedly unable to safely maintain its lane of travel; it allegedly veered left off of the roadway and entered the grassy median. When the pickup attempted to return to the roadway, it reportedly overturned and rolled across both of the southbound lanes of the highway, coming to rest upright in the median on the right side of the highway.
The 35-year-old was reportedly ejected from the vehicle during the wreck; he incurred suspected severe injuries as a result. Emergency medical services transported him to a local medical facility where he could receive necessary treatment.
