Accident Report

June 30, 2026, two people were injured following a car accident that happened around 10:30 p.m. along E. Belt Line Road.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of E. Belt Line Road and Nokomis Road.

It appears that a 49-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman were in a Ford Bronco going eastbound on Belt Line. A Dodge Nitro was going northbound on Nokomis Road. Authorities say the Dodge failed to yield, and the vehicles collided.

Due to the accident, the women in the Ford both were seriously injured. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
