Austin, TX — December 30, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident at approximately 2:30 in the morning along U.S. 183.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 183 in the vicinity of Riverside Drive.
The causal factors leading to the accident are still unknown; however, it has been confirmed that three different vehicles were involved. An occupant of one of the vehicles was allegedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extracted by emergency personnel. That victim reportedly sustained suspected critical injuries as a result of the accident and had to be transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
