Austin, TX — January 18, 2024, one person was killed and three others were injured in a car accident just before 7:00 a.m. along U.S. 183.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the southbound lanes of U.S. 183 in the vicinity of the McKenzie Road intersection.
The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear; however, it has been confirmed that two separate vehicles were involved. Two people were allegedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel. One victim was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. Three other victims reportedly incurred injuries and were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
