Austin, TX — November 30, 2023, two people sustained injuries as the result of a car accident at around 1:15 p.m. along Research Boulevard.
According to officials, the crash happened at the intersection of Research Boulevard and Burnet Road.
Preliminary information about the accident says that a 29-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were in a Nissan Frontier which was going eastbound along the U.S. 183 service road. That vehicle crossed a railroad track, following which it somehow lost control. The pickup traveled off the right side of the road where it crashed into a fire hydrant, a tree, and a structure.
Both occupants in the pickup reportedly had injuries described as serious following the accident. No one else appeared to have been involved in the accident. At this time, the cause of the crash remains unclear.
