Austin, TX — August 24, 2025, two people were injured as the result of a car accident around 3:24 a.m. along Interstate 35.
Initial statements about the accident say that it took place along southbound lanes of the interstate near Taft Lane, just south of Slaughter Lane.
According to officials, vehicles going along the interstate crossed paths and collided, reportedly after a Chevy Cruze failed to maintain its lane. Due to this, a 21-year-old Ford Mustang driver and a 34-year-old Dodge Grand Caravan driver both had serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported. Additional details are unavailable.
