I often see people assume that when someone allegedly flees an accident scene, that makes everything open-and-shut. Authorities will do their thing, and that’s that. At the end of the day, though, there was still a car accident. That needs a careful reconstruction and analysis of the vehicles, people, and surrounding environment. If authorities get tunnel vision because someone did something else wrong, they could easily miss crucial details about the accident. Hopefully investigators here have been thorough enough that the victims and families involved know they’re getting the answers they deserve.
