A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2013 Ford F-150 was heading north in the wrong lane when it crashed into a 2025 Ford F-150, causing the newer pickup to overturn.
The driver of the 2025 Ford, 26-year-old Cameron Bilotto, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.
The other pickup driver, who suffered minor injuries, was charged with driving while intoxicated, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the McLennan County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities will do their best to reconstruct this crash, but I’m not sure they will consider the most important question: where did the Ford driver get his alcohol?
Under Texas law, alcohol providers like bars or restaurants can share responsibility for any injuries caused by a patron who was served while visibly intoxicated. I don’t know if that is what happened before this crash, but the injured driver and his family deserve to know who may have played a role in this crash, even if they have to seek an independent investigation to get asnwers.
