Hopkins County, TX — May 3, 2025, Caden Caldwell and one other were injured following a car accident at around 8:40 p.m. along FM 275.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of FM 275 and Highway 11.
Investigators said that 19-year-old Caden Caldwell and a 19-year-old woman were in a Kia Soul going northbound. At the intersection, the vehicle apparently continued off-road where it crashed into a fence. Due to this, both Caden Caldwell and the passenger had reportedly serious injuries.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No further information can be confirmed right now.

I’m always concerned when I see an accident involving a teen driver. Investigators aren’t always able to set aside their bias, and sometimes they jump to conclusions instead of actually looking at the facts. That’s often when independent investigations can come in handy. If authorities do take the investigations seriously, then independent investigations can help reassure a family the situation is being handled properly. Otherwise, if authorities didn’t give the crash the attention it deserved, independent investigations can step in and pick up the slack. That way the family knows the full story is being told fairly.
