Itasca, IL — January 6, 2025, one person was injured in a bus accident at about 11:30 a.m. on Interstate 290 near Illinois Route 390.
Authorities said the crash involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a bus operated by the Mt. Prospect Park District, but they have not detailed how the accident happened.
One adult on the bus was injured and transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.
The bus reportedly had been transporting 55 students and seven adults on a field trip, according to the park district, but no other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Cook County crash.
