Sheridan, NY — July 8, 2024, eight people were injured in a single-vehicle bus accident sometime in the morning along State Highway 5.
According to authorities, several people were traveling on a bus on State Highway 5 in Sheridan when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the bus failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered off of the roadway, crashed through two fences, and ultimately collided with a house. Eight people incurred injuries of varying severity as a result of the wreck and were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
