Accident Report
Limestone County, TX — April 27, 2026, Buddie Thompson was killed in a car accident at about 9 a.m. on U.S. Highway 84 east of Mexia.
Authorities said a westbound 2018 Toyota SUV crashed into a 2009 Volkswagen Beetle that was stopped to make a left turn. The collision knocked the Volkswagen into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by an eastbound semi-truck.
Volkswagen driver Buddie Marce Thompson, 92, of Mexia was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Limestone County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
