Accident Report

Bee County, TX — August 8, 2026, Brittany Vest was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 5:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 181.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2017 Ford Escape allegedly ran a stop sign while turning left from State Highway 359 and collided with a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Colorado.

Chevrolet driver Brittany Vest, 35, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Ford driver, a 26-year-old woman who also suffered serious injuries, was charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle after the crash, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bee County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

If a blood test confirms the Ford driver was intoxicated, investigators should try to figure out where she had been drinking before she got behind the wheel.

It’s one thing if she had been drinking at home, but if she was at a bar or a restaurant that alcohol provider could share responsibility for injuries caused in this crash under Texas law if the Ford driver was served while obviously intoxicated.

I don’t know if that happened in this instance, but the Chevrolet driver and her family deserve to know everyone who may have played a role in this crash.
