King William County, VA — October 22, 2024, Brian Carroll killed in 18 wheeler accident on Route 30 around 9:45 A.M.
Authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a total of five vehicles, two of which were 18-wheelers. According to reports, the accident occurred on the westbound lanes of Route 30 west of Richmond Tappahannock Highway, when the tractor-trailer driven by Carroll, crossed into the oncoming lane.
Upon crossing into the opposite direction, Carroll’s vehicle struck another tractor-trailer head-on, resulting in a multi-vehicle accident. First responders arrived on the scene where Carroll was declared deceased, and treated the other injured drivers.
Three of the drivers were transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, while another was flown to the hospital as a precaution.
Virginia State Police are investigating this accident, and have not released the identity of the other drivers at this time.
