Tom Green County, TX — August 23, 2026, a boy was killed in an UTV accident at about 4 p.m. in a field near Roberts Road.

Authorities said that a 2021 Cam-Am utility vehicle overturned in a field while making a turn on a private dirt road north of Vancourt.

A 12-year-old boy, a student at Wall Middle Schook, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities.

The 11-year-old boy who had been driving the UTV was hospitalized with minor injuries after the crash, authorities said.
